Professional Information
I am beginning my third year of reading intervention at Elkton Elementary and have been an elementary teacher for four years, though I have at least 8 years of teaching experience. Currently, my intervention services are offered to eligible students from Kindergarten, First, and Second grades.
In 2011, I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Collaborative Education from Birmingham-Southern College in Birmingham, Alabama.
In 2012, I attained my Master of Education in Reading Education from the University of Virginia and received in 2016 an endorsement to my Virginia license as a Reading Specialist.
In the fall of 2016, I began my Doctorate of Education (Ed.D) in Reading Education at the University of Education and look forward to conducting literacy-related research in the years to come.
